Ingredients: Aunt Peg's cobbler which she called Essie's Cobbler. This is her sister-in-law.
1/4 cup of soft butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of flour
2 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup of milk
1 (#2) can of peaches (or substitute blueberries    for Blueberry Cobbler)
1/4 cup sugar for sprinkle
1 cup fruit juice or remaining blueberry juice
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream sugar with butter.
  3. Stir sifted dry ingredients in alternately with milk.
  4. Beat until smooth.
  5. Pour into loaf pan or 2 quart casserole.
  6. Spoon fruit over batter.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Pour fruit juice over top.
  9. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375 degrees.
  10. Serve with whipped cream.
  11. Cake will rise to top.
