Ingredients: My 4th grade class made a cookbook one year. David Dunn's mother was from Hawaii and would bring me wonderful lunches on occasion. Her Hawaiian Fried Noodles was one of them.
4 pkgs of Nissin Top Ramen Chicken Flavor Noodle Soup
4 small enclosed seasoning packages
5 green onions (or leeks) cut in small minced slices
3 TBsp vegetable oil
1 can of Spam (Spam, you say? Makes a great camping meal and is delicious)
Onion salt and pepper to taste
Cut 3 large carrots into thin, small slices
Directions:
  1. Fill medium pot with 2 cups water to boil noodles on med-hi.
  2. Chop onion into smallest pcs possible, put aside.
  3. Cut Spam (entire contents) in small pcs, put aside.
  4. Place noodles in boiling water for 3 min (break up noodles).
  5. Add little seasoning flavor packets.
  6. Throw water out after draining noodles.
  7. Next, saute onion in oil, then add the following:
    • Spam (saute until lightly browned)
    • noodles (mix and saute)
    • onion salt, pepper to taste
    • carrot pcs (saute, mix, and serve)
    • Serves 4
    • Note: Serve with garlic bread and salad. Goes great with Finger Chicken, another recipe from David's mother.
