Ingredients:
garlic powder or minced garlic
2 bay leaves
1 tsp oregano
1 large green pepper chopped in small pcs
1 onion chopped in small pcs
salt and pepper to taste
1 large can of tomato puree
2 cans (family size) tomato paste
1-1/2 lbs of ground beef
Directions:
Brown ground beef, drain, set aside.
Retain some of the liquid fat from meat and saute the following:
1 green pepper cut in small pcs
1 onion cut in small pcs
2 teaspoons salt and sprinkle pepper to taste
2 bay leaves (remove before serving)
1 tsp of oregano
2 cans of tomato paste; stir.
>1/2 can of water to each can of paste; stir as needed.
1 can tomato puree
Add ground beef.
Let everything simmer on low-medium heat; stir as needed.
Cook 7 hours low heat in slow cooker or 3 hours on high setting (easier method).
On stove, simmer for 3 hours. Avoid letting it boil or stick to bottom; stir frequently.
