1 package (Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe) Strawberry Cake Mix
2 (10 ounce) packages sweetened, frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
1 package (4-serving size or 3.4 oz) vanilla "instant" pudding
1 cup milk
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed (Cool Whip 8 oz)
fresh strawberries, optional garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan
Prepare cake using package instructions; cool.
Poke holes 1 inch apart in top of cake using wooden spoon handle.
Puree thawed strawberries with juice in blender.
Spoon evenly over top of cake allowing mixture to soak into holes.
Prepare pudding mix package directions "except" use only 1 cup milk.
Fold whipped topping into pudding mixture.
Spread over cake.
Garnish w/fresh strawberries

When ingredients are hard to find: 1. Substitute Betty Crocker's Super Moist Butter Yellow Cake or White Cake with pudding in mix for the Strawberry Cake which is hard to find. 2. Substitute Comstock 21 oz can of Premium Strawberries. Not bad. It's a jellied consistency. 3. This also works well with a Bundt cake pan using directions on box and more attractive.
